12 Months of Lessons

My Purpose: To provide you (and/or your family members) with joyful, fun, and comprehensive music lessons no matter your age. All of my students are chosen after an extensive interview, so if you have been offered a spot on my calendar, please rest assured YOU are gifted musically. Your success and happiness in learning music is my focus.

Please read each section here for instructions on coming to lessons, scheduling, makeups, temporary holds, and cancellation of lessons.

It is an honor to add you to my musical family. We will spend many amazing hours of learning together as we navigate the most satisfying musical learning in the world.

Tuition: Your tuition is billed on the 1st of the month. If your payment method is declined, you will be charged a $25 processing fee.

Please bring all books and lesson materials to your lesson every time. You will need a dedicated music bag, a 3-ring binder with 10 plastic page covers, and your colored erasable pens. 

Please arrive for your lesson 10m early to observe the previous student's lessons. Many times you will hear another students learning a song you will learn in the future. This is bonus lesson time for you. Coming a little early also gives you time to take off your shoes, wash your hands, clip your nails, and acclimate to the environment before your lesson begins.

Your lesson day/time is reserved exclusively with Bonnie just for you. Lessons are scheduled twice per month, in the 1st and 3rd weeks of the months when the 1st is on Tuesday or before. Your time is yours alone, so if you miss a lesson without 24h notice, you won't qualify for a makeup and the tuition paid is non-refundable.

If you are sick in the 2 days prior to your lesson, please cancel and plan to schedule a makeup. If you give 24h notice, you may make up your missed lessons in months where there are 5 weeks. You may also be put on the last minute cancellation list, and you will be contacted if a student gives 24h notice to cancel their lesson. Please ask about appointments for makeups and schedule them as early as possible for your preferred times.

Please confirm any changes to your lesson dates and times in advance by texting Bonnie @ 805-748=6234. Thank you!

Makeups: For lessons that are canceled with 24 hours notice, you have 2 choices: 1) You may ask if there are openings in the next month due to a student being gone. 2) you may ask to be placed on the last minute cancellation list. Bonnie will text you with openings that come up, which you can take if they work for you. 3) you may schedule a makeup in the next 5 week month. (these occur every 3 months on Fridays only. 

Illness: If, on the day of your lesson, you or your child become ill please do not come in for your lesson. Let Bonnie know when you are feeling better and ready to come in again. Lessons that are canceled less than 24h ahead of time are not eligible for a makeup.

Temporary Holds: If you wish to suspend your lessons due to a trip or other cause, please let us know at least 30 days in advance, and give us your return date. We will put your tuition on hold, and it will start up again automatically on your return date. If you will be gone more than a month, you will remain an active student, but we cannot hold your lesson day/time. We will work with you to find another lesson day/time when you return.

Cancellations: To cancel lessons, please give us at least 30 days notice to close out your lesson plan. We want to make sure you leave on a positive note so that our students will want to return to music lessons in the future. We will make sure to give you/your child material to continue their learning after they leave our care. We will close out your account, and stop any automatic payments. If you leave without 30 days notice, any remaining tuition for the last month will be lost. All makeups must be completed before the 30 days is complete. Thank you.

Scheduling: Your lesson day/time is reserved exclusively with Bonnie for you. Lessons are scheduled twice per month, in the 1st and 3rd weeks of the months when the 1st is on Tuesday or before. Your time is yours alone, so if you miss a lesson without 24h notice, you won't qualify for a makeup and the tuition is non-refundable. You should get a google calendar link for all of your appointments. 

Illness: If, on the day of your lesson, you or your child become ill please do not come in for a lesson. You have 3 options: 1) Have a parent or another family member take the lesson instead. 2) Gift the lesson to a friend. 3) Trade lesson times with another student. Lessons that are canceled less than 24h ahead of time are not eligible for a makeup.

Makeups: For lessons that are canceled with 24 hours notice, you have 2 choices: 1) you may schedule a makeup in the next 5 week month. (these occur every 3 mo. on Fridays Only.  2) You may ask if there are openings in the next month due to a student being absent.

Temporary Holds: If you wish to suspend your lessons due to a trip or other cause, please let us know at least 30 days in advance. Please provide the date you will return so we can restart tuition when you return. If you will be gone more than a month, we cannot hold your lesson day or time. We will work with you to find another lesson day/time when you return.

Cancellations: To cancel lessons, please give us at least 30 days notice. We will close out your account, and stop your automatic payments. If you leave without 30 days notice, and your account is charged, a $15 payment processing fee will be deducted from your refund.
